April 4 – AIS Easter Egg Hunt and Potluck, Indian Pines, Ruther Glen, VA. Please bring a potluck dish and a dozen colored, hard boiled eggs for the hunt. Potluck begins around noon.

April 24 – 5K Run/Walk Charity Fundraiser, The Piscataway Conoy Tribe The proceeds of which will fund youth, cultural, language, and other
programs sponsored by the tribe. The event takes place on Saturday,

May 9 – AIS Mother's Day Powwow, Indian Pines, Ruther Glen, VA. Dedication of the new dance arena and Veteran's Wall created by Jay Hill. All dancers, veterans and active military are invited to attend this special dedication ceremony. Grand entry at noon. Co-ed Volleyball Tournament – All Welcome – Raffles, Native Food, Crafts, and Refreshments available. Vendors Welcome – No charge. Arrival and Setup: Saturday, May 8. Potluck Dinner Saturday Night. September 1 – AIS of Washington, Fall School Supplies Donation Drive Listed below are some of the supplies needed by our grade school (possibly junior high) students: (Pens, Pencils, Backpacks, Notebooks, Folders, Paper, Spiral notebooks, Color pencils, Crayons, Boxes of tissue, Mechanical pencils, Glue, Glue sticks, Index cards, Construction paper, Rulers, Pencil sharpeners, Erasers, Dictionaries/Thesaurus, Writing tablets, Cheap calculators, Stickers, Highlighters, Markers, Etc). Right now is the time to buy/stock pile as items can be found at many stores at a reduced price.

Drop-off sites: AIS Monthly Meeting (September 1st, 2010), St. Clements Episcopal Church, 1701 N. Quaker Lane, Alexandria, Va. or the Pentagon, drop off supplies at (BF849D), or my home 14027 Lestric Lane, Dale City, Virginia  22193. It’s okay to leave on my porch if needed.
